BOTAGOZ wins on debut
The filly broke well under Jack Mitchell and the pair got a lovely position just off the rail behind the leader. Coming into the home straight she picked up well in the final furlong and hit the line drawing clear from her rivals.

Roger Varian is a Classic-winning racehorse trainer with over 1,400 winners to his name, including 27 at Group 1 level. He made an immediate impact on his profession when saddling a Group 1 winner in his first season having taken over the reins from his legendary mentor Michael Jarvis in 2011.
