A taking performance from the three-year-old BOTANICAL, who sheds his maiden tag at only the second time of asking.
The son of Lope de Vega went very close on Debut at Kempton last month, but he made no mistake today. Hitting the 2f marker he began to open up under Ben Curtis, and the further he went, the better he looked! Stringing the field out behind him for a facile victory, nearly 4L the better of Ed Walker's Crack Shot - already a winner last time out at Nottingham.
There's sure to be more to come from this promising young horse. Congratulations to owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum.
The further he goes, the better he looks! 🏇

Lope De Vega gelding Botanical stays on strongly to open his account at the second time of asking, shaping in the process like there could be plenty more to come.
A winner for @_benacurtis on his only ride of the day!@varianstable pic.twitter.com/DukFxJxr4V
