SOVEREIGN SEA makes an eye-catching belated debut at Newcastle.

Three-year-old debutant SOVEREIGN SEA got his racing career off to a fine start this evening, with a facile victory in the hands of Jack Mitchell. Sovereign Sea travelled smoothly throughout the 1m Novice contest, racing in the in the shadow of Boughey's Tancredi in the opening stages. 2f from home, a shake of the reins saw him sail into the lead, and the Ten Sovereigns gelding cruised away from the field under hands and heels, for a 4½l success.

Congratulations to Opulence Thoroughbreds and connections.
