AL KHAWSSAA gets off the mark on just her second racecourse appearance, with a pleasing performance at Southwell.
The three-year-old Night of Thunder filly hit the frame on debut at Kempton last month, running on inside the final furlong to finish half-a-length third. She faced a smaller, 4-strong field at Southwell this evening, but she posted a pleasing performance to claim the 7f contest by just under 2L. Racing in second, she was shaken up by jockey James Doyle 2f from home and responded gamely to take up the lead and hit the line strongly despite showing greenness.
Congratulations to Mr Galadari.
Off the mark!
