MATHEMATICIAN gets off the mark at Newcastle and CROACHILL defies top weight at Chelmsford to land a second career success.
MATHEMATICIAN, a three-year-old son of Starspangledbanner, opened his account this evening under a handy ride from Ben Curtis. He travelled well throughout the opening stages of the 1m2f contest, and showed a game attitude when asked to challenge for the lead, staying on to win by just under a length.
Congratulations to owner Mr Spence.
CROACHILL sat at the top of the weights for this evening’s 1m2f contest at Chelmsford, but that proved no barrier for success for the four-year-old filly. Prominent throughout, she came through to lead 1f from home and stayed on nicely to record a second career success in the hands of David Egan.
Congratulations to owner Mohamed Buhlaibeh.
