CHANTICO gets off the mark at the third time of asking today at Lingfield Park Racecourse.

Placing third on his only two starts last year, the four-year-old Kingman gelding made his first all-weather appearance a winning one in today's 1m2f Class 3 Novice Stakes. He was shaken up 2f from home under a determined ride from David Egan and battled race-favourite IDEE FIXEE for the lead up the home straight before running on for a nice 2L victory.
