CHARYN is just too good in the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville, following up his Queen Anne win with another scintillating performance to make it back-to-back G1 victories!

Charyn made it a Royal Ascot to remember when storming home in the Queen Anne Stakes to land a first G1 success, and his superb season continued at Deauville this afternoon as he showed an electric turn of foot to claim the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois by an emphatic margin.

The four-year-old grey has barely put a foot wrong this season, landing the Listed Doncaster Mile on seasonal reappearance and then the bet365 Mile at Sandown. Stepping back up to G1 level he was runner-up in the Lockinge at Newbury, before going one better to claim his crown at Royal Ascot.

Joining forces once again with Silvestre de Sousa this afternoon, Charyn was always handy and took control of the contest from the 2f marker, extending away from his rivals with eye-catching ease to pass the post 3L ahead of French 2000 Guineas winner Metropolitan, with Inspiral back in third.

Roger said: "He's a great horse and seems to be getting better and better...

"He has a great mind and he's very relaxed. He makes my job easy and Silvestre is striking up a great relationship with him. I hope he stays sound and that we can enjoy him for a while longer."

We'll have to see how he is after this. He's in the Moulin and the QEII. We like the idea of Ascot and the QEII, it's whether we go to Longchamp on the way."

Huge congratulations to Mr Nurlan Bizakov and his racing and breeding operation, Sumbe.
