INDEMNITY goes one better than last time out, cruising to a comfortable victory in the hands of James Doyle.
The four-year-old Lope De Vega gelding has been remarkably consistent - placing second on all but one of his former five starts, but it was his turn in the winners enclosure this afternoon, as he cruised to a facile victory at Nottingham. INDEMNITY was a 200,000gns Tattersalls Book 1 purchase for Highclere Racing. Connections have had to be patient, waiting until the September of his three-year-old season for his debut racecourse performance and coming close to the winners enclosure on several occasions, and so we were delighted to see their patience rewarded this afternoon. Indemnity travelled strongly throughout the 1m½f maiden contest, positioned prominently on the outer. Poised to strike and asked to at just the right time by James Doyle, he cruised into the lead 1f from home and ran on for an emphatic 2L victory.
Congratulations to Highclere Racing and connections.
