KHALDIYA comes out on top in a battle to the line at Newcastle, to reverse her form with Magic Basma and shed her maiden tag at the third attempt.
The two-year-old Sioux Nation filly had showed promise on her two starts to date, coming 2nd on debut at the start of August and 3rd just a couple of weeks later at Carlisle. But we were delighted to see her get her career off the mark this evening, with a gutsy performance in the hands of Jack Mitchell. Racing over 6f, Khaldiya settled nicely in midfield. 2f from home she was sent on to challenge and a head-to-head battle to the line ensued, with the filly showing a likeable attitude to keep on and have her nose in front at the line.
Congratulations to connections KHK Racing!
