Exciting filly MODAARA bolts up at Kempton Racecourse, and Opulence Thoroughbreds’ LIR SPECIALE follows her lead to make it a double on the card for the yard.
We’d been looking forward to MODAARA’s seasonal debut, and the three-year-old daughter of Dubawi did not disappoint, flying home under Jack Mitchell for a remarkable 13L win.
MODAARA is a full sister to the Varian Stable-trained Fooraat and Godolphin’s globetrotting G1 winner Benbatl.
Congratulations to owner Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum.
Demolition Job! 👀

Modaara has been off the track for 195 days and was conceding 26lb to the runner-up, but the daughter of Dubai has strolled home in the manner of a filly who must surely be destined for Pattern company! @varianstable | Jack Mitchell pic.twitter.com/RkFW60FWIp

Later on in the card it was the turn of Opulence Thoroughbreds’ LIR SPECIALE, last seen winning over course and distance in October. The four-year-old son of Prince of Lir sluiced down the inside rail to make it a comfortable victory under Ray Dawson.
Congratulations to Opulence Thoroughbreds and connections!
The @UnibetRacing 3 Uniboosts Per Day Handicap is won by Lir Speciale ridden by Ray Dawson.
