MONTRACHET GIRL gets her nose in front at Southwell to shed her maiden, under a lovely ride from Aidan Keeley.
The three-year-old Saxon Warrior filly came fourth on stable debut last month, and we were delighted to see her improve from that performance to record a first career success this afternoon. Racing over 7f, MONTRACHET GIRL settled sweetly in midfield and made steady headway from 2f out. As they passed the furlong marker she was switched to the right and began to run on well, swooping past the Boughey duo in the final strides to win by a neck.
Congratulations to connections, Mr and Mrs Erskine.
Tight finish!
