Two-year-old PROTEST makes a winning debut in the hands of Jack Mitchell.
The Cheveley Park Stud homebred daughter of Ulysses jumped smartly to lead early on in the 1m Novice contest, before dropping back to settle in midfield on the heels of Hughie Morrison's Mythical Bird. As they came around the home bend, PROTEST was shaken up down the outside and responded gamely, staying on up the straight and running on nicely in the final furlong to pass the post 1½ the better of Mythical Bird, with Cheveley Park's other contender, Enclosure, back in third.
Congratulations to owner/breeders Cheveley Park Stud.
