QAZAQ holds off a challenge in the final furlong at Southwell to take his record to a perfect three from three.
The three-year-old Kingman gelding won both his starts in novice company with ease - winning by 2¼L on debut at Chelmsford last year, and again by 6L at Kempton on seasonal reappearance last month. QAZAQ broke smartly from the stalls under Jack Mitchell, and then made all in tonight's 1m contest - holding off a challenge from Magnum Opus in the final furlong to prevail by a short head.
Congratulations to Mr Nurlan Bizakov.
That was close in the end! Qazaq remains unbeaten but had to work hard to do so at @Southwell_Races for @Mitchelljack77 and @varianstable... pic.twitter.com/k4BMI1GltK
