The three-year-old daughter of No Nay Never has been knocking on the door this season, with two thirds and most recently a second over course and distance a month ago - but she wasn't settling for a repeat result today! Held up in rear through the early stages of the 1m2f contest, Ray made his move 2f from home and WARREN HILL responded gamely, flying down to the line to record a comfortable 2¾L victory.

At Sandown Park, DEFIANCE got his career off to the perfect start under David Egan. The Camelot two-year-old settled out the back after being bumped leaving the stalls but proved unfazed, showing a thoroughly professional attitude to battle on down to the line and just get his head in front in the shadow of the post.
DEFIANCE was a 190,000gns purchase from Tattersalls Book 1.
